Donghwan Kim
A New York based artist, Donghwan Kim (aka, DK) was born in Korea where he demonstrated a talent and passion as an artist at a young age, always sketching and dreaming.
DK received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Korea and was awarded honors for his work in his home country. Consummately longing for the passion and energy oozing from the urban culture of New York City, he left Korea and continued his education at the Fashion Institute of Technology where DK learned to express his creativity in a variety of mediums from canvas, to paper and textiles.
He is a lover of nature in its simplicity on the surface, but complexity that lies beneath. Similarly, he has a deep appreciation for the art of fashion for the same reason. You can see those influences in his work.
